Puerto Rico Trade Executive Director Francisco Chévere and Fajardo Mayor Aníbal Meléndez officially opened the new facilities of the Eastern Region Business Development Center with the goal of offering support to the area’s small and mid-sized businesses.
The center is staffed by the agency’s business development specialists who will provide guidance and advice to entrepreneurs and people interested in establishing a new business, including the benefits and requirements to participate in the Jobs Now Act.
“At Puerto Rico Trade our mission is to promote local business development to foster economic growth, competitiveness and job creation on the island,” Chévere said. “With the opening of our offices in Fajardo, we’re meeting the needs of retailers and entrepreneurs in the region by directly informing them on Jobs Now Act incentives and the agenchy’s different assistance programs available.”
The Eastern Region Business Development Center, located at 12 Dr. López Street, will offer advice on how to establish a business, finance consulting services, licensing, business training, business analysis plans and programs to develop or expand businesses, both locally and abroad.
