The New York Times published the annual list of 52 places to visit and highlighted the importance of visiting the island a year and a half after Hurricane María.
Gov. Ricardo Rosselló confirmed that the highest figure was established in 2016 with 519,751 passengers and an economic impact of $57.7 million for the region.
The airline also noted a streak of 57 days of 100 percent on-time departures of the first flight of the day out of San Juan, from Feb. 11 to April 8, 2018.
