Three of the island’s largest banks announced their operating schedules for Tuesday, when limited service will be offered throughout Puerto Rico.
OFG Bancorp announced that its Oriental Bank subsidiary will not charge late-payment fees for September loan payments, extending the grace period for a maximum of another 30 days.
Upon releasing second quarter results, Oriental Financial Group President José Rafael Fernández said despite solid performance, there is a “great deal of uncertainty” moving forward about the economic impact from Puerto Rico’s fiscal restructuring.
